WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – GabbaCamp opens in less than two weeks. It’s a year-round camp to provide activities for people with disabilities.

A golf outing was held at the Trumbull Country Club Monday to raise money for the final touches of the camp.

The people who will benefit from GabbaCamp were a big part of the outing.

The Mahoning Valley Hospital Foundation donated $750,000 to get the project started. GabbaCamp has five cabins and a mini lodge to provide true camping experiences to adults with disabilities.

“Our folks are clamoring to get in there folks with disabilities. I can’t wait to be able to provide this for them and their families. I’m receiving a lot of phone calls from families that need a break,” said Jimmy Sutman, a spokesperson for Gabba Camp.

GabbaCamp has a grand opening on July 27.
