Smash and grab attempted at local marijuana dispensary

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren police are investigating after someone broke into a marijuana dispensary in Warren.

The incident happened about 4:15 a.m. Sunday at gLeaf Medical on Youngstown Road SE.

According to a police report, surveillance video shows a GMC pickup truck with a telephone pole sticking out of the bed back into the business, smashing the exit door window.

The video shows someone getting out of the passenger side of the truck wearing a ski mask and entering the facility.

Inside, that same person tried to open an ATM but failed, however, the ATM was damaged by the telephone pole that was protruding from the back of the pickup, and the pickup’s rear window was damaged by the telephone pole as well, according to the police report.

The truck is seen taking off down Eastland Avenue. Officers followed scrape marks in the road northbound on Eastland and then south on Sussex until they crossed Meadowbrook and stopped.

Officers checked the area but didn’t find the vehicle.
