Arts for Lawrence awarded Indiana Arts Commission grant
The Indiana Arts Commission announced July 25 that it awarded more than $16,000 to Arts for Lawrence through its Arts Organization Support grant program. “We are incredibly excited and grateful to receive this grant from the Indiana Arts Commission,” Arts for Lawrence Executive Director Elana Thompson stated in an email. “This support will enable us to enhance our programming and engage more deeply with the community. It’s a significant step toward achieving our mission of making the arts accessible to everyone in Lawrence.”

Avon Police Seek Help Locating Missing 14-Year-Old Mia Bennett with Possible Ties to Greencastle and Lawrence
The Avon Police Department has extended a public appeal for assistance in locating Mia Bennett, a 14-year-old girl reported as a runaway. Last seen in the early hours of Friday, July 26, Bennett is described as a white female, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. She was clad in a black sweatshirt and sweatpants when she exited her home in the Settlement community. Her departure was caught on surveillance at around 1:42 a.m., FOX59 reported.
