Free movie night in Hudson Falls
The World Cinema Series continues Thursday July 25th at the Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls beginning at 7pm! Police: Schenectady deli store owned redeemed food stamps for drugs
A Schenectady deli store owner is accused of redeeming food stamps in exchange for drugs. Omar Alaidrus, 23, allegedly used the electronics benefits card of a police officer posing as a customer to record a purchase of $201.15. Alaidrus then took $100 from the cash register and gave the officer fentanyl pills and Xanax, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Update 6:14pm: Governor Hochul says she has deployed the NYS Police and other agencies to help in Oneida County. As the heat index rose and the potential for storms grew, a tornado has been confirmed in Rome, NY - just north of Utica. Photos from the scene show a church with its roof and steeple torn off, numerous downed trees and power lines, overturned vehicles - even a B-52 bomber on display at the Air Force base was moved by the strong winds.

(TNS) In mid-May, the chef and new restaurateur Dylan Longton told his 183,000 TikTok followers that he welcomed mugs themed to their hometown or state and would feature them in his Pretty Alright Breakfast Club, an Upstate New York diner that takes the place of the former Gracie’s Kitchen in Voorheesville.
