The Hive in Warrenton plans worship on baking bread
Experience the joy of baking bread with only flour, water, salt, and yeast! Working with dough is an ancient practice that connects people to the land and to one another. Jon White from Jon's Wonderful Loaves will lead a workshop in breadmaking from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, July 27, at The Hive, located at 108 S. Main St., Warrenton. The event will include a brief lesson in the ways wheat becomes bread both historically and today. Come for some hands on experience (and samples) and leave with your own dough to bake at home. Those attending should bring large bowl or container to bring home your dough. The cost is $15 (standard rate). The generosity rate is $20. A sliding scale is available is the cost is prohibitive. You may pay online through the Working Landscapes website, https://workinglandscapesnc.org, or pay with cash at the door. If you can, pRSVP on Facebook @WorkingLandscapes to help anticipate turnout!
