    Juvenile Uses Knife to Rob Gas Station Before Leading Warrington Police on a Foot Chase

    Warrington police captured a juvenile early Monday morning they said used a knife to rob a gas station on Easton Road.

    WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—A juvenile who police said committed a robbery at knife point was captured after a brief foot chase down Street Road early Monday morning.

    At about 2 a.m. on July 15, police were sent to the Sunoco-A Plus on Easton Road and Street Road for the report of an armed robbery. A suspect broke the glass on the front door of the store and flashed a knife at the clerk inside before jumping over the counter and stealing several items.

    The suspect then fled east on Street Road.

    When police officers caught up with the suspect and ordered him to stop, the suspect led the police on a foot chase west on Street Road. Police caught the suspect near the intersection of Paul Valley Road and Street Road.

    While running from police, the suspect dropped his backpack, which police said contained the stolen items and a knife.

    The juvenile, whose name is being withheld by police, was charged with robbery, burglary, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, theft and evading an officer. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

    There were no reported injuries from the robbery.
