Shopping development to be built by Jordanelle takes step forward
The development is planned for east of U.S. 40, near the Jordanelle Reservoir and across from Deer Valley’s East Village resort expansion. But it’s been difficult to agree on how much parking the new shopping center will need. When the developer proposed 140 spots at a Wasatch County Council meeting in September – just over half the number code requires – councilmembers were hesitant to approve the plans.

The event is a ‘plein air’ competition where all the art is made in the open air. Artists can participate in six competitions, including a studio competition that allows artists to submit two pieces they’ve already created, the main professional competition, an amateur competition, and a Nocturne/Sunrise competition. There are also local “paint-outs” in Midway and Heber.
One hospitalized in critical condition, two others injured in US-40 collision near Heber
STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR, Utah (KUTV) — One person was hospitalized in critical condition, and two others were injured in a collision on US-40 in Wasatch County. Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Heywood said this crash occurred on US-40 near milepost 40, across from Strawberry Reservoir and roughly 19 miles south of Heber.
