    Villafuerte and Radunz earn medals to lead JWP/Waseca bowlers at state

    Eight members of the JWP/Waseca adapted bowling team traveled to Brooklyn Park’s Bowlero to compete in the MSHSL State Championship Friday morning and afternoon. AJ Radunz and Jasmyn Villafuerte earned medal finishes to lead the team with Villafuerte finishing third and Radunz claiming 10th for the Bulldogs.

    The full list of competitors for JWP included Radunz, Villafuerte, Makayla Clark, Abrielle Caples, Savanna Bonnifield, Valente Avalos, Wyatt Arndt and Blayden Elliot.

    Villafuerte earned bronze with a final score of 443, just two pins short of second place in the ASD girls singles division. Radunz finished with a tie for 10th after posting a combined score of 418 in the PI singles division

    In the CI girls singles division, Caples finished 12th with a total score of 408 while Bonnifield earned 20th with a game of 384. Clark finished 11th in the PI girls singles division with a game of 395.

    The state meet wraps up another impressive spring from the combined athletes from JWP and Waseca who have been competing since early March.

    Doubles teams of Villafuerte with Avalos as well as Arndt and Elliot finished with rounds of 757 and 734 respectively in the ASD division. Radunz Partnered with Clark in the PI doubles tournament, finishing with a score of 762 to claim 21st.
