Waseca Chamber of Commerce collaborates with schools on election debates

The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce and Waseca Public Schools invite all community members to attend upcoming local election debates.

The mayoral debate will be held on Tuesday, Sept, 24 at 7 p.m., between incumbent Mayor Randy Zimmerman and candidate Milton Madson. The Minnesota House District 19B Rep. Race between newcomers Edel Fernandez (D) and Tom Sexton (R) will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.

City Council Wards I and II will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22 starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short break, and then resuming with the Ward III Councilors commencing at 8 p.m. Ward I debaters will be incumbent Stacey Schroeder and challenger Adam Jensen. Vying to represent Ward II will be Gary Conrath, Marty Johnson, and Nicholas Meister. In Ward III, the audience will hear from incumbent Mark Christiansen, plus candidates Theresa Rieke, Chad Schlueter, and Koby Wright.
