A sunny Tuesday afternoon was the perfect day for a cross country meet in Blooming Prairie, as the Awesome Blossoms hosted their annual invitational at the country club.

NRHEG was one of the schools that competed at the event, along with a handful of other teams in the Gopher Conference. While the Panthers competed and had runners in both the boys and girls division finishing in second place, they did not have enough runners participating to compete in the official team scores.

The NRHEG girls team had three runners compete, with 8th-grader Jullieann Wobbrock finishing in second place just behind Pacelli’s Kirsten Koopal. Wobbrock had a time of 22:37.3.

8th-grader Ella Jenno finished right outside the top ten in 11th place with a time of 24:54.4 and senior Sierra Misgen finished in 21st place with a time of 30:01.8.

Junior Jacob Karl was the only competitor for NRHEG in the boys section, as he was another Panther who had another second-place finish, with him having a time of 19:09.0, seconds behind the top finisher Yong Achuoth of Pacelli.

NRHEG will host their annual cross country invite on Tuesday at Riverview Golf Course in New Richland. The invite will start at 4:30 p.m.
