COLERAINE, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Two young pedestrians were hit and one of them was killed in an accident in Itasca County early Monday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says 18-year-old Matthew Tombeck of Marble, Minnesota, was driving south on Highway 169 near Coleraine, Minnesota, when his car hit two pedestrians walking in the southbound lane.
Dump truck fire at Minntac early Monday morning
U.S. Steel confirmed a fire on one of their dump trucks at Minntac in Mt. Iron. This was early Monday morning, in a remote section of the mine. The company said the driver followed all the procedures and was able to get out of the truck safely. No one was injured.
