ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals have released their roster for their annual rookie camp, and there are quite a few names to be on the lookout for.

Washington's rookie camp takes palce from Sept. 13-16 at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, and 2024 first-round pick Terik Parascak, Andrew Cristall and Zac Funk are just a few names to be on the lookout for going into training camp.

Here is the full rookie camp roster:

Forwards: Andrew Cristall, Jeremy Davidson, Zac Funk, Brett Hyland, Kyler Kupka, Eriks Mateiko, Terik Parascak, Ilya Protas, Alexander Suzdalev, Patrick Thomas, Tyler Weiss, Oasiz Wiesblatt

Defensemen: Ayodele Adeniye, Cam Allen, Jayden Lee, Leon Muggli, Hudson Thornton

Goaltenders: Garin Bjorklund, Seth Eisele, Collin MacKenzie

Looking at the forwards, the obvious names to watch are Cristall, Funk and Parascak, but also keep an eye on Alexander Suzdalev, who is coming off a strong year in which he returned to the WHL, and Ilya Protas, the younger brother of Capitals' forward Aliaksei who was taken in the third round of this year's draft.

Free agent invite Oasiz Wiesblatt is also a player to keep an eye on up front; Wiesblatt made his mark during development camp as a gritty and physical forward, and he has put himself on the organization's radar as he looks to get a chance to show what he can do at an NHL training camp and hopefully earn a pro contract.

On defense, Leon Muggli is the name to watch at rookie camp; the 2024 second-rounder is a shutdown player who can also move the puck, and he compares himself to the likes of Gustav Forsling and Josh Morrissey.

Also watch for Cam Allen, who has been impressing since returning from injury with the OHL's Guelph Storm. Ayo Adeniye, a 6-foot-5 free agent invite, is another player to keep an eye on. He's been skating in D.C. for the last couple of weeks and, like Wiesblatt, has clearly stood out to the organization.

Bjorklund is the name to watch in net. He is still climbing the ranks and trying to stand out amid a strong goaltending pool in the District and has overcome a lot of adversity, including back surgery, to continue his development.
