If you want to know just how deep, study the stories of the 209 members of the Washington County Sports Hall of Fame -- with four more set to be inducted on July 20 at Elks Lodge No. 378 on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown. It's a who's who of county sports history. The first class of 10 was inducted in 1986, with additional members added each year with the exceptions of 1992 and 2020-21, when COVID-19 postponed the annual proceedings.
