Smithsburg Wastewater Treatment Plant Will Be Expanded
HAGERSTOWN, MD The Washington County Department of Water Quality is upgrading and expanding the capacity of the Smithsburg Wastewater Treatment Plant. The current plant capacity is 333,000 gallons per day and will be expanded to a rated capacity of 450,000 gallons per day. The additional capacity will create an additional 585 residential services for future development in and around the Town of Smithsburg.
