As the region prepares for the tail end of Hurricane Beryl to arrive later today, the National Weather Service in the Albany area has issued a flood watch for the Mohawk Valley, the southern Adirondacks and into Washington County. The watch runs from noon Wednesday July 10 through Thursday morning.
Tornado watch issued for Capital Region, Adirondacks
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch Wednesday for the Capital Region and parts of the Adirondack Mountains. Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties are all included in the watch, which does not expire until 9 p.m. Delaware, Schoharie, Montgomery and Fulton counties are also in the watch area as are the Adirondack Mountain counties of Essex, Hamilton and Herkimer.
