Hudson Falls man charged with welfare fraud
A Hudson Falls man was arrested and charged with felonies after police say he received over $1,000 in social service benefits he wasn't entitled to. Jaquob A. Bushey, 24, of Hudson Falls, was arrested and charged with felony fourth-degree Grand Larceny and felony fourth-degree Welfare Fraud. The arrest stemmed from a joint investigation between the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff’s Office determining that Bushey received benefits exceeding $1,000 that he was not eligible to receive and failed to report income to Washington County Department of Social Services, as required.
