Washington County Grand Jury indicts 18
MARIETTA — A Marietta man accused of raping and providing drugs and alcohol to a minor was among 18 people indicted this week by the Washington County Grand Jury. Christopher Cody Perot, 127 Ward St., Marietta, was indicted on a first-degree felony count of rape, a third-degree felony count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, two fourth-degree felony counts of corrupting another with drugs and one count of failure to comply with underage alcohol laws, an unclassified misdemeanor.
West Virginia man arrested after found in parking lot with Hard Iced Tea cans with young kids
Deputies say they pulled into the parking lot and observed three vehicles and multiple young individuals, as well as several empty Hard Iced Tea cans strewn throughout the parking lot. Twelve individuals were identified, including Tyler Wayne Bartimus, 38 Mound Manor, St. Mary’s, WV.

COLUMBUS — A Lower Salem man was sentenced in federal court on Tuesday to 25 years in prison for sexually exploiting minors in the U.S. and the Philippines. James A. Sabolick, 58, brought a West Virginia minor to his Washington County hunting cabin to engage in illicit sex acts and sent money to Filipino women for their basic living expenses in exchange for child sexual abuse material, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office media release.

MARIETTA, OH (WTAP) - The people of Washington County, alongside many veterans organizations in the county, came out for the All-American Parade and Picnic. The parade started at 4th street and ended all the way at armory on Front Street.
