Amvets Post 1788 present All-American Parade and Picnic
MARIETTA, OH (WTAP) - The people of Washington County, alongside many veterans organizations in the county, came out for the All-American Parade and Picnic. The parade started at 4th street and ended all the way at armory on Front Street. The parade had baton twirlers, jeeps, tractors, and a variety of veteran organizations be involved in the proceedings.

Family invites public to attend memorial for Washington County native Travis Flores
NEWPORT — Travis Flores, a Frontier High/Middle School graduate and three-time lung transplant beneficiary, passed away May 23 in Los Angeles, Calif. Flores was born in Glendale, Calif., April 7, 1991. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects mucus production in the body. His mom Teresa said he was diagnosed at 4 months old.

MARIETTA — A Marietta teen is missing after he ran away last week and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help. According to a Sheriff’s Office press release, Riley Brandjes, 15, Wilson Ave., Marietta, ran away last week from his Marietta residence.
