Drivers say it was scary because they say they didn’t have enough time to react, and they say their only choice was to go right into it and hope for the best.
Washington Co. Commissioners Approve Lease Agreements
The Washington County Commissioners approved several lease agreements Monday on road equipment and sheriff's office patrol vehicles. Commissioner Mike Dunlap says leasing the equipment rather than purchasing them outright is a matter of new technology that is difficult to repair in-house; as well as a matter of the purchase price being too expensive for the county.
Highway buckling in heat: U.S. 75 southbound closes in Washington County
Southbound traffic is closed on U.S. 75 in Washington County near Vera, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. An excessive heat warning is in effect through 9 p.m. Tuesday for much of northeast Oklahoma, with heat index values around 110 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Extreme temperatures can cause concrete to contract and expand, which may result in roads buckling as they are made of layers of concrete that become warped.

A former Ramona Police Chief who found himself in trouble with the law in Osage County in late May is finding himself in trouble with the law once again, this time in Washington County. David Lynd turned himself in on the felony charge of grand larceny, a misdemeanor count of knowingly receiving stolen property and obtaining property or an item of value by deception.

Bartlesville Man Charged With Domestic Abuse Seen in Court
A Bartlesville man who faces charges of domestic abuse by strangulation makes an appearance in Washington County Court. The case against 29-year-old Blue Mamolo dates back to an incident that occurred in early May in which Mamolo is accused of attempting to strangle the victim at her home. He is also accused of stealing $600 from the victim's CashApp before leaving the scene in the victim's car.
