2 people arrested for allegedly tying teenage girl to tree in Washington County

Two people, Johnny James and Kayla Clark, are in jail for allegedly tying a teenage girl to a tree and keeping her outside just last week.

According to court documents, Washington County deputies received a call that a 15-year-old girl was being kept tied between a red shed and chicken coop for at least three days.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the girl outside with wounds on her leg.

Documents said when they asked James why the girl was outside, he said it was for behavioral issues and that this was his only option because he did not know what else to do to help her.

He went on to say that he only left her out there for short periods of time or when he left the house.

James and Clark were both booked into the Washington County jail on child abuse charges.
