Teen arrested after setting own car on fire in Washington Co.
WASHINGTON COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - A 19-year-old was arrested after setting fire to his own car on June 22, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. On the morning of June 22, officers found a 1997 Toyota Camry fully engulfed in flames in the 15000 block of Southwest Sundew Drive.
Field Fire Started by Burn Pile
Today at 12:43pm, Forest Grove Firefighters were dispatched to a reported field fire in the 6600 block of NW Kansas City Road in rural Washington County. While crews were responding a column of smoke was observed in the distance, prompting the chief officer to upgrade the response to a full first alarm assignment. 10 minutes after being dispatched, fire crews arrived on scene to find a cut crimson clover field with two areas burning. Firefighters utilized 4 wheel drive apparatus to drive around the perimeter of the fire and extinguish the flames. It took firefighters approximately 10 minutes to extinguish the flames, and additional time spent looking for hot spots. Due to the quick stop of the flames, incident command was able to cancel additional responding resources.

Police use drone to catch escaped Washington prisoner in Beaverton
After escaping from a prison in Washington, a man was caught by a law enforcement drone while fleeing a traffic stop in Beaverton. Beaverton police stopped 32-year-old Dean Allen Bromley for a traffic violation near the Elmonica MAX station on Sunday, June 23. The suspect, from The Dalles, was wanted on a felony warrant for escaping from the Washington State Department of Corrections. Bromley initially identified himself as Leroy Miller....
Washington County fire agencies announce burn ban due to 'high fire danger'
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oregon — Multiple fire agencies in Washington County have issued a burn ban, warning of high fire danger, starting July 1. Based on a Washington County Fire Defense Board recommendation, the ban will begin on July 1 at 7 a.m., according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R).
