The Washington Capitals saw several familiar faces trade in their skates and sticks for bats and catcher's mitts, as current and former players reunited to take part in the Alzner Foundation's first-ever "Swing into Summer" softball game.

Founded by former Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner and his wife, Mandy, the Alzner Foundation works to "empower the next generation through youth sports" and help provide access to sports for underprivileged youth.

The game was held at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia, where current Capitals T.J. Oshie, Tom Wilson, John Carlson and Nicklas Backstrom reunited with former players Braden Holtby, Devante Smith-Pelly, Mike Green, Steven Oleksy and Eric Fehr.

Wilson also impressed with his batting skills, showing off his strength with a wicked home run hit.
