ARLINGTON, V.A. — There's still ways to go for the Washington Capitals this offseason, but they have some dates to look forward to as they released their preseason schedule on Monday.

Washington's preseason slate features six games against Eastern Conference opponents, giving the team the opportunity to prepare for the season while up-and-comers compete for roster spots.

The preseason will feature some of the team's top prospects, including Andrew Cristall, Ivan Miroshnichenko and more, as well as up-and-comers like Hendrix Lapierre.

Considering the date of the first game, expect training camp to start a few days before around Sept. 18 or Sept. 19.
