    Two teenagers arrested in connection to several armed robberies in DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police in D.C. said two teenagers were taken into custody after they were allegedly involved in three robberies in the Northeast area.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said two boys, 16 and 17, were allegedly armed with guns and took property from the victims before fleeing the scene. The robberies occurred at the following locations:

    • On Tuesday, July 2, around 10:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of Kearny Street, Northeast
    • On Tuesday, July 2 around 10:40 p.m. in the 3500 block of 10th Street, Northeast
    • On Wednesday, July 3 around 12:01 a.m. in the 3100 block of 9th Street, Northeast
    DC man found fatally shot in Prince George’s County home

    MPD said with the help of the department’s Real Time Crime, detectives were able to obtain more information and both teens were arrested.

    They were both charged with three counts of armed robbery (gun).
