    DC police arrest suspect for shooting near Nationals Park, search continues for another suspect involved

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police in D.C. said they arrested a man for a shooting that happened Saturday night near Nationals Park , and are still searching for another man who may have been involved.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 1200 block of Half Street SE at about 9:18 p.m. There, they found a man who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

    He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Man hurt in shooting near Nationals Park in Southeast DC

    Detectives said 29-year-old Deon Elonte Bookhardt and another suspect had exchanged gunfire when the man was struck.

    Brookhardt was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Destruction of Property.
