    Man dead, another hurt after shooting in Southeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police said it is investigating a shooting that left a man dead and another injured in Southeast D.C. early Tuesday morning.

    Just before 2:30 a.m., D.C. police were called to the 4000 block of South Capitol St. SW to investigate a shooting. There, officers found two men shot inside an apartment.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said one man was taken to the hospital for treatment and is in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

    The second victim, 38-year-old Morris Frazier of Southeast, D.C., died at the scene.

    MPD is asking anyone with information about what led to the shooting to call 202-727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411.
