    Man arrested for 11 retail thefts in Northwest DC, police say

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced a man was arrested for nearly a dozen retail thefts in Northwest D.C. in the span of three months.

    Paul Loose, 29, was arrested and charged with 11 counts of Theft Second Degree on Tuesday.

    The thefts happened at the following locations and times:

    • On Oct. 17, 2023, at approximately 8:48 a.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Dec. 2, 2023, at approximately 6:37 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Dec. 16, 2023, at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Jan. 17, 2024, at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Jan. 17, 2024, at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Jan. 17, 2024, at approximately 9:18 in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Jan. 17, 2024, at approximately 9:19 p.m. in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW;
    • On Jan. 18, 2024, between 5:27 p.m. and 5:32 p.m. in the 4300 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW.
