    Man, firefighter injured after apartment fire in Northeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — DC Fire and EMS said a man and a firefighter were injured after an apartment fire in Northeast D.C. on Sunday afternoon.

    Crews said they were dispatched to a working fire in the 4200 block of Benning Rd for a fire showing from a two-story apartment building.

    MPD: Man shot in Southeast DC

    First responders said a man was transported with critical life-threatening injuries.

    A firefighter was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Crews said several residents rescued from the building.
