However, as chic and stylish as the 54-year-old Kill Bill actress looked in the black and white picture, which was taken in Washington D.C., many of the comments were not about how good she looked, but rather, the political statement she made in the caption.

Thurman captioned her post: “Happy Monday! Let’s get a woman in the White House.” She finished off the caption with an emoji of the American flag, and also tagged @hellmannsam as the photographer.

While Thurman was likely referring to Kamala Harris now that President Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential race, many Trump fans interpreted her statement a little differently…

“Yes, Melania Trump back in the White House,” wrote one Trump fan, followed by the American flag emoji. “Even Melania doesn’t want that,” replied one Instagram user, as another concurred, writing, “She doesn’t even want to be there, ” followed by a sideways crying laughing emoji.
