The Mets are sending a pitching prospect to the Nationals to complete their Jesse Winker trade .

Minor league right-hander Tyler Stuart has been sent to Washington, the Mets announced Sunday morning, after news broke of the club acquiring Winker Saturday night.

The return at the time wasn’t known.

Stuart, 24, was the No. 17-ranked prospect in the Mets’ farm system, according to MLB.com.

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound starter has made 17 starts for Double-A Binghamton this year, pitching to a 3.96 ERA with 90 strikeouts in 84 innings.

The Mets selected Stuart out of Southern Miss in the sixth round of the 2022 draft.

Stuart had a strong year with Single-A Brooklyn last season, recording a 1.55 ERA in 14 starts before he pitched to a 4.11 ERA in seven starts for Binghamton in 2023.

The Winker acquisition gives the Mets a left-handed boost in their outfield.

The 2021 All-Star has 11 home runs, 45 RBIs and a .793 OPS this season, and against righties he has 10 homers, 36 RBIs and an .840 OPS.

Winker was activated Sunday before the Mets closed their four-game series against the Braves, and the team optioned DJ Stewart to Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.
