    Green Line disrupted after man hit by train at Fort Totten Metro Station

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Several first responders worked to recover the body of a man who died after a train hit him at the Fort Totten Metro Station on Wednesday.

    In a post on X around 11:20 a.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department shared that agencies including the Metro Transit Police Department were on the scene.

    The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) shared that passengers can expect delays in both directions.

    Trains are running every 12 minutes and are single-tracking between Fort Totten and Georgia Avenue.

    WMATA released a statement, saying the man who died intentionally put himself on the tracks.
