Wiregrass announces CDL Sign-Up Day at Coffee Campus
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will be hosting a Sign-Up Commercial Truck Driving Day on the Coffee Campus on Thursday, July 25. Classes will begin on August 12. This event will help applicants to complete the steps for applying for the program. A representative from the college’s One-Stop will assist applicants in registering for class, completing CDL Clearing House, Financial Aid application, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) application, and DOT physical information. CDL applicants will also have their application fee waived on this day on the Coffee Campus when they apply.

GSW alumni Doug and Yolanda Moses endow scholarship, pave the way for students in their hometowns
AMERICUS, GA (July 17, 2024) – Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) alumni Doug (’97) and Yolanda (’01) Moses, of Locust Grove, established a scholarship aimed at supporting students from their hometowns of Ocilla and Oakfield, Ga. The Doug and Yolanda Moses Accounting and Computer Science Scholarship became fully endowed at $25,000 last month, and earnings from the fund will be available for use in Fall 2025. When the Moses’ pledge commitment is complete, the scholarship will be worth $100,000 in principal.
