Augusta-Richmond County Fire Department to receive federal grant
The Augusta-Richmond County Fire Department will receive a $243,873.63 federal grant. The funds, through the FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program, can be used for professional training, wellness and fitness programs, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and modifications to facilities, according to a July 17 news release from the office of U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga.

Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGRL) has opened its newest branch, the Library Annex, in Macon-Bibb. Located in the Macon Mall facing Mercer University Drive, the Library Annex aims to provide convenient access to library services and materials for the West Bibb community.
