Prep sports recap for Feb. 13, 2024

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Wes Gudeman scored 16 points to lead Morton to a 51-39 win over host Washington on Tuesday to clinch at least a share of the Mid-Illini Conference title.

The Potters finish the conference season with a 13-1 mark. Metamora improved to 12-1 in the Mid-Illini with a 69-50 win at Dunlap and can share the conference title with Morton by beating Limestone at home on Friday.

Other boys basketball winners included Richwoods, Peoria High, Pekin, Limestone, Fieldcrest, Eureka, El Paso-Gridley, Delavan, Farmington and Peoria Christian.

In girls basketball, Eureka and Central Catholic won semifinals and will meet in the title game at the class 2A Fieldcrest regional on Friday.
