Fight at Gibson County liquor store leads to three arrests
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Three people are facing charges in Gibson County after a brawl at a local liquor store. The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says 911 calls started coming in around 5 p.m. on Saturday for a fight in the parking lot of L&L Liquors on E. Vine Street in Fort Branch.
Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools Prepares to Welcome Students
Staff preparation and student achievement topped the agenda at the last school board meeting before the first day of school for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools. The board was provided a curriculum update, including the ILEARN assessment results for 2024. In addition, they were given an overview of summer 23-24 Advance Placement testing, transportation services, staff preparedness, and reappointments. In other business, the agreement with the City of Jasper for School Resource Officers Fiscal Year 25 budget was approved. Authorization was also given to publish the CPF and Bus Replacement Plan on the GJCS website.
