Emporia teenager suffers minor injuries after rollover wreck
Lyon County deputies say an Emporia teenager suffered apparently minor injuries after a rollover crash northeast of Emporia on Monday. Deputy Curtis Morse says the crash near Roads 190 and P-5 was reported around 11:45 am. Deputies found an SUV had rolled onto the passenger side in a field. The driver, 17-year-old Braxton Malone, says he was eastbound on Road 190 when he approached a curve in the road. Malone says the rear end started fishtailing and he could not regain control. The SUV left the road and rolled.
