Chargers, Chiefs May Trade for Pro Bowler Without New Deal
The Los Angeles Chargers or Kansas City Chiefs may trade for Pro Bowler, Alvin Kamara without a new deal entering this upcoming season. According to a report, there has been no progress in extension talks between the Saints and Kamara as his future with the team remains uncertain. This comes after the running back walked out of the final minicamp for the team, which is a sign that he’s unhappy with his current contract situation. Training camp is around the corner and his negotiations will be a storyline to follow as the two will see what they do.
Valley Park Woman Drowns In Big River
A Valley Park woman drowned Sunday afternoon in St. Francois County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Melissa A. Hill of Valley Park, Mo., entered the water around 2:15 p.m. to help another individual in the water, upstream from St. Francois State Park on the Big River. Hill became unconscious and was found floating face down by bystanders, who recovered Hill and began life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful.

Singer throws 7 shutout innings to lead Royals past White Sox, 6-1
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Brady Singer threw seven shutout innings to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 6-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night. “You can’t get much better,” Royals manager Matt Quatraro said. “The efficiency, every inning except the one. WFCN – On July 21, mass retailer Target Corp. will launch three new locations in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, expanding its network of over 2,000 stores. Target plans to open a shop in Lomita, California. This will be the company’s 318th outlet in California and its 127th in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim area. The Lomita store, which will employ about 70 people, is about 33,000 square feet and is located at 2130 Pacific Coast Highway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

MODOT Meeting to Discuss Near Roundabout Near Reeds Spring
A meeting to discuss and upcoming Highway Project takes place next week. According to a release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, the $2.1 million project is expected to start later this year and would construct a roundabout at the intersection of Highways 13, 160, 248, and Dogwood Tree Road near Reeds Spring Jct. MODOT says nearly 12,000 vehicles use that intersection on a daily basis. MODAT also states in the release that new roundabout will help with safety and traffic flow for motorists.
