Tornadoes mixed with heavy rainfall and flooding resulted in 15 deaths across Texas , Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky this weekend.

One tornado began in northern Texas on Saturday night. Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) confirmed Sunday that seven people had died due to storm-related causes. Cooke County Sheriff Ray Sappington added that there were about 20 injured people, including three people trapped in the wreckage of their home. Abbott subsequently expanded a disaster proclamation to the affected county along with Denton County.

Tornadoes continued to move north and east to strike Oklahoma, where two people were killed. Arkansas was next to meet the tornado's path, where five people died. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) responded with an emergency order to authorize necessary funds for aid.

there were no sirens here in Winchester, KY. I was eating, and the wind started blowing really strong. Next, the rain came down so heavy that I could not see the red church like 75 feet from my living room window. Although it was quick, it was not pretty
