When President Joe Biden took the debate stage in late June, the blatant lies of his administration, the Democratic Party , and leftist media were exposed.
For months, people have watched Biden fall off of bikes, trip on stairs, fall on stages, struggle to walk, and devolve into incoherent ramblings. Biden’s evident cognitive abilities have been declining for years, but the leftist media covered for him.
It was early June when the Wall Street Journal reported on Biden’s cognitive decline. Referring to conversations in February between House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Biden, the Wall Street Journal’s report left no question that Biden was becoming incapable of his duties.
However, the White House, Democrats, and the media continued to reassure the public falsely that Biden was up for the task. White House spokesman Andrew Bates claimed that stories of Biden’s struggles were fabricated accusations by Republicans. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called clips showing Biden’s immobility and clear struggles artificial edits created to make Biden look bad. These “cheap fakes” became another cover-up for Biden's cognitive decline.
But after Biden’s abysmal performance on the debate stage against former President Donald Trump, it was clear the truth could no longer be covered up.
The narrative then changed, with the same groups that covered for Biden for months acting like they were appalled by Biden’s performance and questioning whether he was capable of a second term — both of which people have been doing for months.
“Biden looks and sounds terrible. He’s incoherent,” a former member of the Biden administration told CNN.
Following these realizations, Biden’s defenders decided it was time to jump ship. Major media outlets, lawmakers, and celebrities encouraged the Democratic Party to abandon Biden as the next possible nominee.
And so began a pressure campaign to get rid of Biden.
On Sunday, Biden announced the end of his campaign for reelection in a post on X.
“And while it was my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden’s statement read.
Shortly after, the same media outlets, lawmakers, and celebrities who had just days before demanded he withdraw hailed Biden as a hero for his service to the nation.
Former President Barack Obama referred to Biden as a great public servant and claimed that “the decision to pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest in his life.”

Just as quickly as they turned on Biden, the leftist media have now forgotten all about him to promote Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s new presumptive presidential nominee. Their narrative has shifted yet again, leaving the lies that Americans have been told for months without an apology.
Let this serve as a reminder: The Biden White House, the Democratic Party, and legacy media lied, covered up, and promoted false narratives about Biden’s health. They might move on and leave him behind, but Americans won’t forget.
