There are just 11 days left for Costco customers to submit a claim to receive money from a class-action lawsuit settlement if they purchased Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes between 2011 and 2017 in New York .

The lawsuit claims that Costco falsely advertised the wipes as flushable when they actually weren't, and the wipes damaged pipes and septic systems and led to other plumbing problems for customers.

"Consumers argue they would not have purchased the wipes if they knew they were not truly flushable as advertised," according to Top Class Actions .

While Costco admitted no wrongdoing, the company agreed to pay out $2 million.

I put a sign in my house. “NO FLUSHABLE WIPES” with a copy of my plumbers bill next to it, from when a flushable wipe got caught in our pump and burned it up

Wipes are flushable but not disintegrating, that’s the problem especially if you have a septic. Trust me my wife has tried to flush just about everything. I remember living in a quadruplex and the main line being backed up because one of the tenants was flushing plastic tampon applicators in the toilet. It backed up and flooded all the units. Talk about a nightmare waking up to and stepping into sewage, are son was just born two weeks prior and had to have all the carpets pulled up and sanitized with humidifiers running ,and not to mention the fish tanks I had to move.
