Did Kamala Harris just plagiarize Moms for Liberty?

An old saying suggests that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

If that holds, then all the wonderful, virtuous mothers in Moms for Liberty should feel very flattered at the moment. This is because the Democratic nominee for president stole the group’s slogan. Vice President Kamala Harris dubbed herself and her dangerously far-left running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), as “joyful warriors.”

“As Tim Walz likes to point out, we are joyful warriors,” the former border czar declared before a campaign rally in Wisconsin.

However, it’s hard to believe she came up with this on her own. The same thing with Walz, who has recently had his own battles with the truth . And it’s even harder to imagine that whatever adviser did recommend this slogan to Harris was unaware it was synonymous with Moms for Liberty.

Perhaps Harris was inspired by her boss, President Joe Biden, in claiming someone else’s material as her own. After all, that is what Biden did during his first presidential campaign in 1987 . However, it should be known that Moms for Liberty has been regularly using the term “joyful warriors” for quite some time, and it is a core tenet of the group.

First, the term “joyful warriors” has been listed on the organization’s webpage for years. Next, the group’s annual summit is called the “Joyful Warriors National Summit.” Last but certainly not least, the phrase is included in the group’s values statement : “As Joyful Warriors, We Stand for Truth, We Build Relationships, We Empower Others.”

Despite this dedication to empowering people, it’s probably a safe assumption that Moms for Liberty didn’t envision the vice president plagiarizing its idea for presidential campaign rhetoric. It raises the question of what Harris will do next: Introduce initiatives to review school libraries for lewd and lascivious books and other literary material? Declare that she and Walz want to “make the country great again” during the election? Announce her intention to support parents’ rights in schools?

Last year, Moms for Liberty was attacked, vilified, and called “fascist” by every communist and socialist in Philadelphia outside its “Joyful Warrior” Summit in the city. This year, the group is having its material ripped off by the vice president of the United States. One could argue that such “flattery” is indicative of the positive impact the organization has had on the country’s political discourse.

Harris and Democrats can try all they want to steal material for her presidential campaign, whether it is ideas and platforms from opposing candidates or an organization of mothers defending their children from toxic left-wing ideological indoctrination in schools, but their efforts won’t be successful. From the group's confrontation with the corruption of big education to advancing the agenda of parents’ rights, everyone knows who the true “joyful warriors” are in this country.
