Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D-IL) called out Vice President Kamala Harris for being a “co-conspirator” in hiding President Joe Biden’s mental decline.

Blagojevich, who spent eight years in prison on corruption charges, argued that his party lied to voters about Biden’s “cognitive incapacity” when the president was originally staying in the race. He contended that voters are valid to doubt the party’s statements. Blagojevich added that voters ought to be “more than just skeptical” going into the 2024 election cycle , as he claimed the party is “now lying about how they forced” Biden out of the 2024 race.

“Kamala Harris, the vice president, was a co-conspirator in the lies and in the cover-up,” Blagojevich said on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle on Monday. “They covered up from We The People, the mental capacity of the president. She lies when she flip-flops on issues. Just a month ago, when she was the vice presidential candidate, she opposed fracking, she supported defunding the police, she supported abolishing private health insurance, and she was the border czar who was responsible for allowing 10 million to 20 million people to storm into our country.”

Blagojevich added that voters should consider anything said by the Democratic Party as “lies” in his election cycle, and he joked that the party ought to change its logo from a donkey to Pinocchio “because they lie."

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has argued in a recent podcast appearance that Biden’s prewithdrawal letter reiterating his intention to stay in the 2024 race “didn’t sound like” him . Blagojevich contended that Pelosi's comments reflect the doubt she is beginning to have in her own party.

Blagojevich was convicted on corruption charges in 2011 for attempting to extort campaign donations from a children’s hospital and for attempting to sell former President Barack Obama’s U.S. Senate seat. Former President Donald Trump, who claimed in 2012 that Blagojevich's was “outrageous,” commuted his 14-year sentence in February 2020 .

When Blagojevich was asked if Trump should go into deep-blue cities to reach out to voters at this point in the 2024 race, the former governor argued such a move was “a great idea,” citing the high crime in cities such as Chicago . He argued that black voters appreciate Trump’s “honesty and authenticity” in these cities and that Trump ought to continue reaching out to this voting demographic.

After Trump was first indicted in April 2023, Blagojevich decried it as the “apocalypse of our democracy.” He also argued that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg should be thrown in prison for this indictment.
