    Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally in North Carolina as Vice President Kamala Harris tries to turn it into a battleground state.

    On Wednesday, Trump is set to address supporters about "economic hardships" in Asheville, North Carolina, at 4 p.m.

    The Trump campaign's announcement for the rally said, "Prices are excruciatingly high, and the cost of living has soared," claiming that "since Kamala Harris and Joe Biden took office, prices in North Carolina have risen over 21%." Harris is set to unroll details about her economic plan on Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

    While Trump holds a narrow lead over Harris in North Carolina, recent polling indicated that momentum for Harris is growing in the state, which the former president won by over 74,000 votes in 2020.
