Rachel Zegler, the actress playing Snow White in Disney 's highly anticipated remake of Snow White, is sparking outrage for her latest social media post that promotes a pro- Palestinian message.

"I love you all so much! Thank you for the love and for 120m views on our trailer in just 24 hours! What a whirlwind," Zeglar posted on X. "I am in the thick of rehearsals for Romeo and Juliet so I'm gonna get outta here. Bye for now."

Her post came after Disney posted a teaser trailer of the live-action version of the classic movie.

Following her first social media post thanking fans, Zegler added a second message Monday that stirred controversy.

"And always remember, free palestine," she said .

The political comment about the Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza was seen by over 6 million X users and garnered numerous online reactions.

Gal Gadot, an Israeli-born actress, is starring alongside Zeglar in the film as Snow White's nemesis, the Evil Queen.

Journalist Seth Mandel pointed out that Zegler was “egging” on the “hordes of antisemites” who attacked Disney's trailer over Gadot's appearance in the film.

"The release of the trailer for Snow White got hit with an online backlash against Gal Gadot by hordes of antisemites. Here is Gadot's co-star egging them on," he said in response.

"Gonna be a weird/cool experience to be rooting for the evil witch!" author Batya Ungar-Sargon said .

"Stay classy Rachel, can’t imagine you will have much of a career left since you cannot seem to keep your mouth shut," another person remarked .

Disney had been criticized previously during the movie's production when photographs were leaked, which seemed to show the film had replaced the iconic seven dwarves with a mix of genders, ethnicities, and heights in for the remake.

A spokesperson for Disney had initially denied the photos as "fake" but later backtracked and said the photos were not "official."

Disney then released the new movie trailer in August with a nonpolitical spin, but Zegler's comments about Palestine amid Gadot's involvement thrust the film back into the political spotlight.
