Kirk Cameron and Brave Books head to DC area for library story hour event

Kirk Cameron and Brave Books are heading back to the library this Saturday for its national "See You At The Library Day," with Cameron himself visiting a trio of libraries in Virginia .

The collaboration with Cameron and Brave Books comes about a year after the two worked on a similar event, which saw thousands of families commune at libraries across 46 states . Cameron has already written a few books for Brave Books, the faith-based children’s book publisher, which seeks to provide families with stories that reinforce Biblical values .

Cameron’s library visits this Saturday will include James M. Duncan Branch Library in Alexandria at 10 a.m. ET, Gum Springs Library in Stone Ridge at 11:30 a.m., and Bowman Library in Stephens City at 3 p.m.

During last year’s event, Cameron visited libraries to read his faith-based children’s books, As You Grow and Pride Comes Before the Fall . Cameron was joined by women’s sports activist and OutKick host Riley Gaines at Madison Public Library in Huntsville, Alabama.

Madison Public Library had originally canceled its participation in the event due to capacity concerns. However, it reinstated the gathering to allow 225 people inside, which is the capacity limit for the meeting room.

Since Brave Books started in 2021, it has collaborated with other conservatives similar to Cameron to publish children’s books, including Gaines , RNC Co-Chairwoman Lara Trump , and actor Kevin Sorbo . Last year, the publisher released a Christmas book titled Mouse in the House, which initially sold out in only three hours and became the publisher’s “most popular product to date,” according to CEO Trent Talbot.
