Nancy Mace contends Biden-Harris leadership has allowed terrorism to flourish

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) argued the Biden-Harris administration’s leadership has allowed terrorism and unrest to grow dramatically across the globe, referencing the war in Gaza and the war between Ukraine and Russia .

Mace contended that when comparing the current administration to the previous one, the United States and the world were much safer with former President Donald Trump ’s leadership. She added that it is “very scary” where the world is right now when looking at the number of wars started while President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been in leadership.

“And if you look at how weak the White House is, you look at Kamala’s positions, how she waffles on Israel as well, worst than Joe Biden ever could, I believe, it’s going to make the United States and the world less safe,” Mace said on Fox News’s Fox and Friends First. “And he’s right about Russia invading Ukraine, Hamas invading Israel. We have the Houthis shooting U.S. military assets overseas as well. We have a Taliban that aren’t designated as a terrorist organization.”

Mace argued that there is “a lot going wrong” across the world, and claimed the U.S. and its allies would be “much, much safer” should Trump win the 2024 election and return to the White House.

The South Carolina congresswoman also questioned why the Biden administration has not declared the Taliban in Afghanistan a terrorist group, explaining she has introduced a bill to do this . She argued that by not declaring the Taliban a terrorist group, other countries could still do business with the group, adding that those who do business with terrorists “aren’t friends of the United States.”

“Let’s call a terrorist what they are,” Mace said. “Let’s designate them, and it matters that the way we designate them matters the way other countries are treated.”

Last month marked the three-year anniversary of the United States’s withdrawal from Afghanistan , which saw the Taliban then overtake the country’s government. During the withdrawal, 13 U.S. service members were killed in a suicide bombing.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has stated he would honor the members posthumously next week.
