Vance says Trump in ‘good spirits’ after second assassination attempt

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) reacted to the second assassination attempt on his running mate, former President Donald Trump , saying he is grateful Trump is safe.

"I'm glad President Trump is safe," Vance posted on X. "I spoke to him before the news was public and he was, amazingly, in good spirits. Still much we don't know, but I'll be hugging my kids extra tight tonight and saying a prayer of gratitude."

The FBI said they're investigating "an attempted assassination of former President Trump" after Secret Service shot at a man who was suspected of having a long gun at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The man fled the scene and there were no injuries reported.

Its important to protect him. After watching the first assassins attempt on Trumps life, what struck me over and over as I watched it. It was real, and I saw a real leader. A strong leader, a defiant leader. I’m a non partisan. A normie if you with no political party. Trumps crowd didn’t leave the rally scared. They stood up and cheered tor him as his fists were waving as to saw fight, fight, fight. This will always be remembered. Leader is the most fearless, courageous man/person in your group. He is that for 1/2 country. He is that now for a vast majority of non decided people like me. He is that for most who won’t tell you the truth who they are voting for. Not many really care about a debate that was now known to be stacked against him. Perception is often viewed as reality. Remember that. KH next interview was a incredible incoherent mess as she didn’t answer one question, and then, “When I was a little girl”. We want a natural leader. KH isn’t getting up after being shot
