WATCH LIVE: Harris campaigns at the border in Arizona

Vice President Kamala Harris is making a campaign stop in the border town of Douglas, Arizona, and will deliver remarks at 7:45 pm Eastern time.

Harris is visiting the U.S.-Mexico border as she tries to close the polling gap on the border and immigration , a topic in which former President Donald Trump leads her.

The town of 16,000 is one of the quieter border towns as it does not have the capacity to accommodate mass migration and has seen less than other border cities in recent years. Violent crime in Douglas is well below the national and state averages.
