Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said the news of the Israel Defense Forces killing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was a "solid move to eliminating Hamas ."

Sinwar's death comes over a year after the attack against Israel, which he masterminded. Hamas combatants killed 1,200 people in southern Israel and kidnapped others, 100 of which are still being held hostage. Blackburn predicted the conflict between Hamas and Israel would soon come to an end.

"It is a good solid move to eliminating Hamas, to take Sinwar out," Blackburn said on Fox News's The Faulkner Focus. "And we should continue to support Israel as they move forward to defend their country and to defend their people."

Blackburn's suggestions included putting sanctions back on Iranian oil sales because "when Iran gets a dollar, it goes into funding terrorism or enriching uranium."

"There should never be any daylight between the U.S. and Israel. We should stand resolutely with them," Blackburn said. "We should make certain they have what they need to defend themselves, and we should sanction Iran because Iran is who is funding it."

Roughly 40,000 Palestinians have died since the conflict began. Israeli officials estimate that about half were civilian deaths, which in life Sinwar referred to as “ necessary sacrifices .”

This is great news, but until the citizens of Gaza wake up and stop glorifying Jihad and martyrdom this will not end. They teach the children at an early age to become Shahid’s and train them to become Jihadist with the ultimate objective of killing Israeli’s.
