Muncy, Pa. — Today Farm's annual Sunflower Festival is set to return Aug. 10. This Saturday, Pottsville Pizzeria will celebrate its 75th anniversary. The pizzeria has been serving the community with its classic pizzas and subs since the summer of 1949. The story of Pottsville Pizzeria began when Mrs. Paparazo and her three sons opened the first pizzeria in the area in the basement of their home at 441 Prospect St. The business quickly grew, leading to a move in September 1953 to a more convenient location at 530 N. Centre St. This relocation allowined for the development and expansion of their product offerings. It was here that the concept of unbaked pizzas for home baking was born, eventually evolving into the famous Packaged and Frozen Pizzas.

TOWANDA, PA. (WENY) -- A Troy, Pennsylvania man will serve at least 5 years in prison on two separate meth charges. According to the Bradford County District Attorney, William McClintic, 59, was sentenced to a minimum of five and a maximum of 12 years in a State Correctional Facility on two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Between 10 and 50 grams of Methamphetamine.
